[Debian-ppc64-devel] Broken gdb, and archive space?

Has anyone investigated why 64 bit GDB is broken?

Has the alioth space usage problem gone away, or would it be beneficial
to move the ppc64 archive somewhere else? I can come up with a machine
with decent bandwidth and plenty of space if need be.

one more final note..  I've seen comments that a 32 bit biarch system is 
faster for things like kernel builds, but has anyone done any benchmarks
on real applications yet?
