Please forget about those two, and try out the real thing :

  http://cdimage.debian.org/pub/cdimage-testing/daily/powerpc/current/debian-testing-powerpc-netinst.iso

Or netboot :

  http://people.debian.org/~luther/d-i/sid/images/2005-09-27/powerpc64/netboot64/

with yaboot.

If you have any trouble, please file an installation report :

  http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer/report-template

(well it would be nice to file an installation report even in case of
success).

There should be a beta version in the next few days, so if you find any
problems with the above, it would be nice to know and fix before the beta goes
out.

You need to chose a partition and format it as prep boot partition. Should
work fine with the above.
