[Debian-ppc64-devel] debian 4.0r4 on ibm 52a (power5) with vios 1.5: cannot install from virtual cd-drive

debian 4.0r4 on ibm 52a (power5) with vios 1.5: cannot install
from virtual cd-drive

The system boots fine from the iso-image (which i verified with md5sum
to be correct!) but then when it scans for cds it gives the error:
"The cd-rom drive contains a cd which cannot be used for installation."
