+ArrayFire for Debian
+
+This Debian source package was generated with dh-make and subsequently edited 
+to follow the Debian science policy revision 1.2 [1].
+
+The packaging repository uses the upstream git repository and its layout 
+follows the recommended guidelines in DEP-14 [2]. Specific information 
+regarding the packaging repository layout can be found in the accompanying 
+debian/gbp.conf file.
+
+IMPORTANT: the upstream repository uses git submodules to provide additional 
+static resources such as documentation assets and test data. Please use the 
+--git-submodules option from `gbp buildpackage` in order to include these in 
+the source tarball.
+

+DFSG cleaning
+-------------
+
+Since version 3.1.0, ArrayFire has been shipping source code with patented 
+algorithms. Upstream has been kind enough to name the corresponding source 
+files with a *nonfree* suffix. As a result, running the following command:
+
+  find -name *nonfree* -type f -delete
+
+after merging a new upstream tag should be enough to perform DFSG cleaning.
