+
+As it was discussed on the Debian Science mailing list[1] there are good
+reasons[2] to prefer lapacke over clapack.  Since some upstreams are
+relying on clapack anyway and the effort of porting from clapack to
+lapacke might be to hard it is here provided as well.  Please try to
+teach upstream to switch to lapacke to consolidate the code base to only
+one implementation.
