Conference presenters from some of the largest industry companies will be

As promised the OASIS Technical Advisory Board has delivered a program that
offers attendees a forum to exchange ideas and present results of standards
work-in-progress, as well as the opportunity to identify unaddressed topics
in need of standards development and areas where coordination between
standards efforts would promote interoperability.

Sunday, 25 April - Pre-Conference Tutorials: The Critical Comparison of
Business Transaction Specifications (instruction by: Alastair Green and Bob
Haugen of Choreology Ltd.) and  The WS-Resource Framework (instruction by:
Steve Graham, Senior Technical Staff Member, IBM Corporation).

Monday, 26 April - First-Day Closing Panel on Implementing Standards to
Achieve Reliable Transacting: This panel features  RosettaNet, CIDX and AIAG
- three of the most advanced and prolific industry vertical organizations -
joining OASIS to discuss the importance of open standards to their
constituency and how they are implementing standard-oriented architectures
into their own work. 

Wednesday, 28 April - Reliable Infrastructures for eHealth
OASIS and CommerceNet join forces to present Reliable Infrastructure for
eHealth, a one-day Workshop designed to investigate the relationships
between the standards that exist today and identify solutions to the road
ahead. This workshop is designed to facilitate the identification of
practical steps that can be taken to apply reliable infrastructure for XML
standards into healthcare applications.

TC MEETINGS

Currently, 17 OASIS TCs have scheduled face-to-face meetings on Wednesday
and Thursday following the Symposium. Over the next couple weeks, Jane
Harnad will be contacting each of the TC Chairs to confirm the specifics for
each meeting.  If you have any questions or changes, please contact Jane

REGISTRATION

Registration is required for all events held in conjunction with the
Symposium (including the OASIS Plenary and TC Meetings).  Registration
information may be found at

A $200 discount to attend the Symposium is offered to OASIS Members.

Two-Day Symposium Prices (US Dollars):
$465 Non-Members
$265 OASIS Members

eHealth Workshop Only:
$225 Wednesday Only (US Dollars)

No additional charge for Full-Symposium registrants to attend either the
Pre-Conference tutorials or the eHealth Workshop, however, advance sign up
is required.

HOTEL RESERVATIONS

The deadline to make reservations at the special rate of $159.00 is 26 March
2004.  Reservations made after this date will be based on space availability
only.  Please note that the hotel (and city) are approaching a sell-out
status over the Symposium week (due to the Jazz Festival).  The hotel may
not be able to accommodate late reservations.  Please notify Jane Harnad
(jane.harnad@oasis-open.org) directly if you experience any problems making
your hotel reservations.
