OASIS members:
I am pleased to announce that the voting on the Common Alerting Protocol
v1.0 Committee Draft from the OASIS Emergency Management TC has resulted
in this Committee Draft being approved as an OASIS Standard.
The TC and its chair Allen Wyke are to be congratulated on their work in
developing and approving this specification.
The Web Services Security v1.0 (WS-Security 2004) Committee Draft from
the OASIS Web Services Security TC also received sufficient affirmative
votes to be approved, but because there was a negative vote the TC must
decide within 30 days how to proceed; this is in accordance with the
OASIS TC Process at
http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/process.php#standard. I will
announce whether WSS is approved as an OASIS Standard once I am informed
of the TC's decision.
Thanks to those OASIS members who reviewed the specifications and cast
ballots. The ballot and results of voting may be viewed by members at
