Web Services Security (WSS) v1.0 Becomes an OASIS Standard

OASIS is pleased to announce that the members of the consortium have
approved Web Services Security (WSS) version 1.0 (WS-Security 2004) as an
OASIS Standard. WSS offers a trusted means for applying security to Web
services by providing the necessary technical foundation for higher-level
services.

OASIS Open Standards Days Tokyo 2004 is Announced

China National Institute of Standardization (CNIS), East Asia Electronic
Commerce Association (EA-ECA) and OASIS will sponsor the China-Japan
International Joint Forum--OASIS Open Standards
Days Tokyo 2004 on 15-16 June in Shinagawa, Tokyo. The event will include
two days focused on examining global standards related to electronic
commerce. Standards organizations from China, Europe, Korea, Singapore, and
the U.S. will come together with end users, government agencies, and IT
executives to
share information about electronic commerce and e-business standardization.
