May I ask you the favour to compile a new deb package based on this new
upstream release (1.3.14 on <http://yaboot.ozlabs.org/>)?

According to git Changelog, it's possible that it fixes the install issue of
the debian-4.0r3 I mentioned on debian-powerpc ml:
