[debpool] Issue with Moving debpool out of SVN

Hello,

Earlier I mentioned that debpool should be moved from SVN to git. I received a 
suggestion of moving debpool into Mercurial instead. Well, I know I had some 
arguments against this, but now looking back at them, I see that they weren't 
great arguments. I'm OK with moving debpool into an hg vcs if that is what's 
decided.

So now the question I would like to ask is this. What are the thoughts of 
anyone here about using a different VCS for debpool? Should it be git, 
Mercurial, or some other VCS? Or, should debpool stay in SVN? (I hope not).
