That they are violated is understandable: the long descriptions of the
facets are not visualized by any of the tagging software we have :)

However, I wouldn't maintain per-facet tagging guidelines in the wiki,
but in the vocabulary, and in the wiki I'd say "check the vocabulary"
for now and provide software-specific instructions once we have a
software that can display the long descriptions. The idea for this is
to avoid having to maintain instructions in too many places.

Moving to the wiki is great to me! BTW, the home page is currently
maintained in svn (svn+ssh://svn.debian.org/svn/debtags/web/trunk) and
the web pages are automatically updated on commit.

They are in svn (and outdated) because so far I've been the only one
maintaining them. I'd be very happy to move them to the wiki, if that
means more hands to keep them up to date :)

BTW, in setting up these things, I think we can take inspiration for how
the Debian Installer team is doing (http://wiki.debian.org/DebianInstaller):
they have always proven to be a big source of inspiration on how to get
some team things right.

Many things are still outdated. If we decide to switch to svn (say, if
noone objects before saturday), I can take care of sorting out the old
cruft I dumped in the wiki years ago.

Note that I'm likely not to have internet access from saturday to monday
(extremes included), so if the deadline is successfully reached I cannot
help with the transition right away.

Ciao,

Enrico
