I like what you've got so far.

We maintain a local package repository on top of the Debian releases we run,
so my only suggestion is to allow comparison against any source list - that
way we could use Demi to upgrade packages placed in our local repo. Perhaps
you could define source groups (groups of source lists) and apply that group
to machines.
