I'm attending the Debian Science Sprint at ESRF in Grenoble

We talked about the need for mass-backporting for scientific software
deployment and this script was discussed. How is the chance of it being
accepted into the devscripts packages?

If the chance is zero for whatever reason, it was demanded that the
script is made available in some other package.  Personally, I'd prefer
it to go into devscripts as it seems like a perfect match.
