Unless someone's planning on coming up with a solution that works for 
both stable and development releases, that bug should probably be marked 
as "fixed" in a post-wheezy version; CCing the devscripts maintainers in 
case they have any thoughts / opinions.

Hmmm, what are the chances that users on stable might want to derive 
the information for unstable in any case?
