I was not subscribed to the bug back for the previous discussion and
so missed it at the time.  The classic problem of not CC'ing the bug
submitter.  But seeing this now I accept the decision.  Of course I
would prefer the change of default.  But I understand the reasoning to
preserve the status quo.  I am okay with it.
