I'll surely try to do something either when I suddenly gain more free

Well, I'm not yet so inside qa.d.o stuff.
I don't even know if they removed that local patched copy of uscan (but
I don't think so :( )

IMHO you should just work to simplify uscan as much as you can, and then
maybe look at the users.  That means looking at mole (in qa.d.o svn
repo) and udd, Guess it's not that hard getting them deal with whatever
you want :)
