debuild isn't failing at that.  It's attaching file descriptors to
dpkg-buildpackage's stdout/stderr to be able to tee dpkg-buildpackage's
output into the build log.  Therefore, dpkg-buildpackage doesn't detect
that it's being run in a terminal.
