I've taken a look at the BTS, and responded to three out of the four
bugs.  IMO, only #835686 is actually a legitimate RC-level bug, but I
am a bit confused as to why we've had an API change causing FTBFS.
Hopefully the patch isn't too bad, but any extra eyes (or help
crafting said patch) would definitely be appreciated!
