That was asked once in the process we currently have with gandi around
getting ssl certs from them.
We (SPI/Debian) got "E" rates from them, but not full sponsorship. That
is, lots cheaper than we would be with normal rates (E rates are for
people with *LOTS* of domains registered), but not completly free.

If you want to ask Gandi again[1] fine, but its currently exactly one
domain, debian.org, where this applies. All other debian domains aren't
with Gandi, and *right now* there are no plans to move them, as far as I
know. And the registrar they are with DOES fully sponsor those.

AND the next payment for debian.org will not happen before 2018 - the
registrar that held debian.org two moves back (same as .net/.com/... now)
paid for a 10 year package, then it got transferred twice, so there is
quite a lot of time left before money is again needed to pay for .org.

[1] Coordinate any talk with Gandi with Luca from DSA please. It is
    still an ongoing process, shouldn't get interrupted from a side
    query.
