[dput-ng-maint] Bug#740314: dput doesn't check for filesizes before uploading

Package: dput-ng
Version: 1.7~bpo70+1
Severity: normal

Hi,

For a reason which I still don't get, it looks like dpkg-buildpackage is
producing .changes files with a broken md5sum and file size on my machine,
even if the Sha1 and Sha256 blocks are correct. As a consequence, my
packages were rejected by Dak. The problem is that the rejection by the
Dak cronjob was completely silent. Dput from dput-ng was also completely
silent. It took me a long long time to understood what was happening.

FYI, dupload did check for the filesize of the .dsc file before uploading,
and refused to do so. So it could in some way be considered as a regression.

Anyway, it'd be nice if this could be fixed, so that another person doesn't
spend a few days scratching his head like I did! :)

Thanks a lot for maintaining dput-ng, which I find very useful (and
especially the dcut various commands).

Cheers,

Thomas Goirand (zigo)
