For now, the old way works too, so one doesn't need this change unless you're 
working on one of these derived distros, but there's no need to keep the old 
way too AIUI (I did this based on Colin Watson's dput changes and since he 
wrote the relevant Launchpad changes, I'm confident it's fine).

Unless someone objects, I'll push this when I get a moment then.
