Yes, the simple examples depend on it, but I'm not entirely sure, whether they
work, i.e. whether cfengine segfaults after doing its job or while running some
of the tasks.
I actually can't help as I changed my config to work without cfengine, but there
is a bug reported against FAI which includes a patch to make things work using
cfengine2.
