Hi!

Latest coreutils Conflicts and Replaces on timeout, which makes the
latter quite useless, as it cannot be installed at all being the
former an “Essential: yes” package. So I'd suggest asking for the
removal of timeout from unstable. This can be easily done by
reassigning this bug report to the ftp-masters with something like:

reassign <bugnum> ftp.debian.org
retitle <bugnum> RM: timeout -- ROM; uninstallable; superseded by coreutils
