The downside of providing them uncompressed is they're then 4.2MB
rather than just under 500KB.  That increases the size of the docs
by about 50%, which is quite an overhead given these files probably
aren't used by many users.

I had a look, but that seems to require putting all the HTML files
into the zip file as well, which makes them much harder to use for
those just wanting the HTML.

Perhaps splitting this stuff into a separate package is the best
answer.
