Can you be specific about what doesn't work?

I have seen no issues myself, and I have dash as /bin/sh:

$ ls -l /bin/sh
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 4 Mar  1  2012 /bin/sh -> dash

And checkbashisms (at least in the version currently in wheezy) reports
nothing.
