Robert, et al

On the yippie side:

1. bz2 meant it only took me a day to download. way cool!

2. Total image small enough for 80mm disks. also nice!

On the other hand:

1. I can ls, cat and pipe to more, but when I tried to look at the
mounted filesystems df gave the following:

df: cannot read table of mounted file system. No such file or directory

2. Trying to find out what/how things work without man, I tried info but
got:

info: Terminal type 'dumb' is not smart enought to run info

pico, nano, etc give similar terminal errors.

I'm probably just missing something, since everything else works.

The machine is a VIA mother board with 1 Gig of memory. There is a hard
drive available, but I don't boot from it. (I mostly run a Gnome
remastering of Knoppix completely in ramdisk)

Is there any way to load this BSD CD image into ram?

I have lots more questions. Is there a web site/document source that
would give me a better idea of what I'm looking at and what I should
expect from it?

I'm very pleased to see that you have followed through on this BSD
project. I know the initial Debian response was ... well negative

As I am more interested in diversity I'm glad for the success and,
although I haven't much "free" time I'll do what I can to help with
testing and documentation.

BTW, what does the "k" in "GNU/kFreeBSD" mean?

I'm not subscribed to this list, so please CC me in your replies.
(Should I sign up on the list?

Waiting is,
