This rescue system contains a base tarball for installation and everything
of Priority required in our port. It can't get any smaller, sorry.

We would need to support mdconfig in GRUB to do this.

I could add mc, but then why not adding build-essential and everything you
need for doing the actual work? I had to keep a balancing between size and
usability, and concluded that most people just want the LiveCD for either:

 - Trying the system, run uname and forget about it.
 - Installing GNU/kFreeBSD in hard disk.

Same here.

Ah well. Not everything works on our LiveCD. But if you have useful
infomation on correcting bugs (or better, patches) they're welcome.

First, you need to prepare an initrd image (with udebs, i guess), then
add it to the cdrom filesystem, and finaly load it with GRUB (you'll have
to hack the initrd command in grub).

Not sure if that works, just use the web interface.
