This problem happens since first versions of livecd.  It's very weird and
we don't know why it happens.  We initialy believed that it only happens on
some computers, but recently I found that in the same computer it may happen
sometimes but not always.

IIRC, in my laptop it worked with a setup that included a hard disk and a cdrom
drive when _there were no partitions_ in the disk.  Later, I created the
partitions and the livecd stopped booting.

The exact conditions that trigger the problem in a particular computer would
help a lot.
