IIRC, it was more than 2.0 sec, when I started Gnuk in 2010.

Then, when I released Gnuk 1.0 in 2012, it was like 1.5 sec.

It requires me one year and half to achieve 1.4 sec of version 1.1.1
by hacking bignum routines, while GCC never stops its development.

I had heard of new register allocation algorithm in GCC 4.9 and had
expected some improvement, but I was so lazy to wait the release of
binary package of gcc-arm-embedded.
