Hello Iain. Yes I pointed out that we're actually far from the point
where we have where we've achieved enough consensus to consider
publishing the existing draft as a draft.
Certainly, and as I pointed out, it's a good start, but still it is just
a start, and there's much work ahead.
I'm not sure if there is sufficient cause at this point to form another
WG until the current proposals are whittled down to a point where there
is more consenus and agreement on a few things, but I do think that for
now this is the place since all of the developers of Gopher servers are
actually on this list, and some of the client devs too.
At some point, however, this is going to need to be opened up to the
greater community via a WG under the IAB where there will no doubt be
further discussion from other parties as well.

existing work in progress? Much of the discussion so far has focused on
the item types.
