In all fairness some clients make it darn hard to not top-post.  An 
iPhone for one means a lot of manual cutting and pasting on a tiny 
screen and there's no third-party app that fixes the problem.  Why it 
was left out of the client as an option is an exercise left to the 
reader so to speak.  ;-)
