The nmap announcement is but one example that belies and contradicts the
naive, prophetic declaration quoted above ;)

Protocol level software integration occurs when there is a perceived
need for such support. The nmap folks obviously perceive a need.

Now how do we get the wget devels on board buoys and gulls?
