[gopher] Mosaic-CK and gopher supportq

Gents:

I downloaded Mosaic-CK today and, for a lark, tried it on a gopher
server.  I know that Mosaic and its descendants do not support the i
itemtype, which is, as you know, the most common itemtype in
gopherspace (if you don't know, it's a marker for informational text).
 However, I was shocked to see that Mosaic-CK actually rendered the i
itemtype perfectly.  Who's to thank for this?

Or am I perhaps mistaken---is it IE that mungs up info text, not Mosaic?
