I think the discussion has come to the state of practical implementa‐
tion.
As a side note: I am with Cameron Kaiser at transferring the gopherpro‐
ject.org domain, which I bought an IPv4 for and I am setting up a gentoo
VM at the moment. I would give this VM for free to such a cause. There
is no bandwidth limit and I pay for the domain.
This VM could be used for hosting the mailinglist. Or everything is kept
decentralized with some hoster already providing NNTP<>E‐Mail in a way
acceptable for all mailinglist users.
For NNTP: I have to admit that this technology was before my time, when
it was actively used. I’ve read the RFCs for my mail client but didn’t
implement anything due to no practical use for now.
I request all members of this mailinglist please answer with NNTP<>E‐
Mail services we could use or if you would be willing to help me setting
up the NNTP server.
Sincerely,
Christoph Lohmann
