Package: hardening-wrapper
Version: 1.29
Severity: wishlist
hardening-wrapper should not define symbolic links for gcc versions
that are not installed. For instance:
ypig% ls -l /usr/bin/gcc-4.5
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 11 2010-07-12 15:30:04 /usr/bin/gcc-4.5 -> hardened-cc
ypig% gcc-4.5 --version
/usr/bin/gcc-4.5: not found (hardened-cc could not find target)
I don't know whether this is fixable, but if it isn't, a note should
be added in the documentation (e.g.
/usr/share/doc/hardening-wrapper/README.Debian).
