Yes, but it is very rare. :)

Sure. It is just that this do not work, as all processes are killed by
sendsigs. :)

Yeah.  sudo do this now on my request, instead of having a script in
rcS.d/.

PS: #pkg-sysvinit is a nice IRC channel for boot system talks.
