Duration: 	6+ month w/possible extension
Location: 	San Francisco, CA

NOTE:  San Francisco / Bay Area CANDIDATES PREFERRED, must be able to interview in person**

Technical Project Manager
Strong Unix, SQL, XML, Java, iPlanet

Description:  
*   Directs and monitors all activities for medium to large, medium to high risk, major technology-based projects from initiation to delivery.  
* Expert knowledge of  SDLC.
* Solid understanding of Unix platform.
*   Projects typically cross platforms, applications, and/or business lines.  
*   Works with business partners to develop technology concepts, requirements, design alternatives, project schedules, and costs for new systems initiatives.  
*   Plans and directs program schedules and budget, monitoring project status in comparison to cost/time projections.  
*   Provides consistent and comprehensive status reports, project updates, and ongoing cost analyses, significant issue management, and communication with business lines and technology management levels.  
*   May act as an internal consultant within technology and business groups to re-engineer technical processes for greater efficiency.  
*   Typically reports to a Technology Manager.
*   Manages the support and implementation requirements for 7-20 concurrent technology-based projects ranging in complexity and risk.  
*   Knowledgeable of 2 or more complex platforms including hardware, software, and risks management associated with preventing or minimizing impact to availability.
*   Builds/enhances relationships with Business partners to ensure goals and objectives are met for a multitude of on-line products. 
*   Creates strategic alliances with multiple development teams in effort to create new procedures that minimize implementation issues or streamline work efforts.
*   Coordinates extensively with up to 20 different partners for data center, technical, or support requests as needed for effective execution of business and infrastructure projects.  
*   Develops implementation, support, and communication plans to appropriately direct workflow and share information with team.  
*   Technical familiarity of coding, installation, and configuration of WebLogic supported applications, SunOne, and F5s
*   Working knowledge of the banking industry, online services, and brokerage terminology.
*   Experience or certification in PMI, RUP, or other project management or software development processes.

Must have:  
*   Must enjoy managing the implementation phase of multiple concurrent projects and be willing to work production shifts (be available to receive on-call escalations during evening installs) 1-2 times per quarter/month.
*   Must have experience implementing hardware and infrastructure applications (weblogic, SunOne webserver, etc.).
 
Experience Level: 
Combination of education and work experience typically equivalent to a Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years technical project management experience.
