When reportbug listed the outstanding bugs I obviously saw that also, but I
skipped reading the whole report because the title seemed extraneous to the
bug I was reporting.

However, for what's worth, I think it's not very wise to introduce a new bug
in order to fix another one. I understand that the problem is in upstream
sources, but it's relative only to 2.6.16, and people that are using testing
(2.6.15) instead of unstable do so just hoping they face fewer bugs.

I don't know the debian policies enough, but I think the package could be
moved out of testing at least, because it doesn't work in an environment
where it should. Simply forcing the package to skip the bogus module seems a
little dumb.

All this to say that I've lost quite a bit of time to realize why the module
wasn't there, and I'd like to avoid other people loosing the same useless
time.

Obviously IMHO.

Regards,
Lucio.
