Package: linux-wlan-ng
Version: 0.2.8+svn1839+dfsg-2

I did not managed to test WEP funcionality. I was not able to start this wlan Stick at all. I get
always:
Dec 22 05:03:24 thinkpad kernel: prism2usb_init: prism2_usb.o: 0.2.9 Loaded
Dec 22 05:03:24 thinkpad kernel: prism2usb_init: dev_info is: prism2_usb
Dec 22 05:03:24 thinkpad kernel: usbcore: registered new interface driver prism2_usb
Dec 22 05:03:26 thinkpad kernel: hfa384x_usbctlx_complete_sync: CTLX[1] error: state(Request failed)
Dec 22 05:03:26 thinkpad kernel: hfa384x_drvr_start: cmd_initialize() failed, result=-5
Dec 22 05:03:26 thinkpad kernel: prism2sta_ifstate: hfa384x_drvr_start() failed,result=-5
It is interesting that I was able - before I started this bugreport - to initiate this usb stick on
this PC. But anyway it was neceassary to plug-in/plug-out the device many times. Maybe 10 times
until there were in syslog additional rows indicating that firmware was loaded. Than it has worked
without WEP encryption quite good. Unfortunately now I tried it many, many times without success.
Would be usefull to try something with command "prism2dl" for downloading/uploading firmwares?
I have tested this Wlan USB stick in Windows again and it is still working very well.
