The current solution in Ubuntu is to call wlan-udev.sh from the udev
rules, and this one calls wlan_enable (a function from
/etc/wlan/shared) which loads the firmware before setting
ifstate=enable.

Then the network configuration is done by later udev rules (i.e.
ifupdown which calls linux-wlan-ng-pre-up) or directly by
network-manager.

How is this done in Debian? Which rule sets up the wlan device?
