The downloaded files also need converting, so it is not as easy as
just downloading and copying. We had the linux-wlan-ng-firmware
package that shipped a script that when run, downloaded firmware files
and created a new debian package, which the user could then transfer
to any computer the way he liked. That would the technically superior
solution here also (adding the converting part), but this is such a
corner case I wouldn't care about it unless a real need was present.
