  that's a strange message, no pid?
  google for "spamd connection attempt from 127.0.0.1",
  but didn't get any results on that one.
  please confirm that logline, more messages may help.

Yss, that is all there is from the logline. I'm running exim4 at the same host
as spamd. Here iare more syslog lines:

Jul 19 07:02:12 cante ippl: spamd connection attempt from 127.0.0.1
