sorry i'm already a bit sleepy, just 2 or 3 random thoughts.

well that could be pinpointed easily,
just complete all your rules with a '.*$' at the end
i no it's _not_ pretty, but shouldn't change the rules themself.

would be cool to see which local-foo file is causing damage?

i'm still puzzled that local rules make a difference on the logcheck
output, as they are run through same code as others,
could you send one of those files, are you shure they don't contain
some funny dos strings aka '
' don't know if you will see this one
in your mailer :-P
