Then the man page should be changed from:

For hints on how to maintain rules, see README.logcheck-database.gz.

to:

For hints on how to maintain rules, see
/usr/share/doc/logcheck-database/README.logcheck-database.gz.

because /usr/share/man/man8/logcheck.8.gz is included in the logcheck
package, not the logcheck-database package and when you man logcheck you
are expecting that file to appear in /usr/share/doc/logcheck because its
the man page for logcheck, not logcheck-database.
