I don't think so. I think logcheck-database is a gross hack which
should not be necessary if there were more maintainers like the
cyrus-imapd-2.2 folks. They know best what kind of filters the
package should put into place.

logcheck is not designed to be run on a loghost, really. I know it
would be nice, but it's not the general use case. You'll fare best
if you copy the file over, or simply install the cyrus-imapd-2.2
package on the loghost and disable all services.
