As far as I understand the dhcpd source, this message occurs if the
hostname contains not only printable lower ASCII (original 127 US-ASCII)
chars. Please check if the hostname in question doesn't fit these
requirements and, if so, consider to rename the hostname accordingly.
Please provide feedback if that solves your problem.
