liborbit0ldbl Conflicts & Replaces liborbit0, which is going to force
the removal of multi-gnome-terminal.

is there any reason why liborbit0ldbl can't Provide liborbit0 as well
as just Conflict & Replace it?

both packages are from the same source and there seems to be only a very
minor version difference between them (0.5.17-11.1 for liborbit0 and
0.5.17-11.2 for liborbit0ldbl).

if that's not possible, is it likely that MGT will be recompiled against
liborbit0ldbl?

BTW, before anyone suggests i switch to Gnome Terminal or Konsole or
somehing, i've tried. they're inadequate (and that's putting it very
politely). even taking into account that MGT is abandoned upstream, it's
vastly superior to GT or Konsole - and many times faster too. using GT
in particular feels like connecting over a slow serial connection. plus
they do weird things to mouse cut & paste, mess up the tab titles, and
are just awkward and clumsy in comparison to MGT.

i know that eventually i'll have to find an alternative to MGT but
hopefully i can put that off until there is an adequate replacement -
one written by and for people who actually LIKE text terminals and use
many terminals at once and dont need or want irrelevant rubbish like
graphical or transparent backgrounds or animations - just a good, solid,
reliable tabbed terminal.
