This seems to be caused by inappropriate prototypes for the
{get,post,head,put}_http{s,}{3,4} functions. I just removed those
prototypes from the development tree. Some test code I tried now works
fine and also the test suite still runs fine. Please give it a try or,
if you can't upgrade to a development release, just use

  do_httpx2(POST => 1, ...);
