Somewhat. We usually consider these two ways to happen in succession.
First we work on a working source package. If that is done we can build
binaries for many platforms and publish them in our repository. After
that (or better in parallel) we iron out all remaining legal and policy
issues to make it suitable for Debian proper and upload it there. Once a
package is accepted we continue to offer backports of fresh versions in
our repository, but upload to Debian at the same time.

Cool. Do you have a Debian _source_ package somewhere for me to review.
I only could find the .deb, but no corresponding .dsc.
