The package is now ready (and in sid). I have prepared a version with
backport patches for NeuroDebian:

http://cnbisrv02.epfl.ch/~nbourdau/packages/mwrap_0.33-1.dsc

or the branch (nd_backports) of:
git://anonscm.debian.org/pkg-octave/mwrap.git

It is ready to be uploaded in NeuroDebian repository.
